PERNEM: Calangute police on Sunday seized two trucks and a JCB after a Calangute panch complained that “illegal” filling up of paddy field was going on at Porba Wado in the village.
In her complaint to the police, Panch Rupa Chodankar stated that an unknown person was illegally filling up paddy fields located opposite to Palmarinha Hotel at Parba Wado with help of three trucks and a JCB. The panch also informed that the trucks were displaying boards which read as “On Government Duty-PWD”.
Acting on the complaint, Calangute police team seized the two trucks registered and the JBC.
