MARGAO: A 30-year-old man from Raia died in a self-accident near Raia on Monday late evening.
According to the Maina-Curtorim police, the accident occurred when the victim J Gomes was proceeding towards Raia on his two-wheeler. Though it was not known how the accident took place, Gomes was seriously injured and was first rushed to the South Goa District Hospital, Margao and later shifted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH),Bambolim, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Maina-Curtorim Police conducted the panchanama and has preserved the body for post-mortem examination. Further investigations are on, police said.
