PANJIM: Two women and a youth were found hanging in three separate incidents at Porvorim, Sangolda and Vaddem-Sanguem.
According to Porvorim Police, Siddesh Shet (24) from Halliwada-Britona allegedly committed suicide at his residence on Tuesday morning.
Police said they received a call at about 11.30 am stating that the door of the house where Shet was residing was locked from inside and there was no response from him. Police rushed to the spot and broke open the door and found Shet hanging to the rafter.
After post-mortem was conducted, police handed over the body to his relatives. Police said Shet’s parents had expired and he was staying alone in the house.
At Bela Vista, Sangolda, Kumari Madhula (23) of Jharkhand was found hanging with the help of Dupatta at her residence. The body was sent to GMC Bambolim for preservation and Calangute Police is investigating the case.
In another incident, Mohini Gaonkar (24) was found hanging to the roof of cowshed with the help of Duppata near her residence at Gaonkarwada-Vaddem, Sanguem. The body was preserved at Hospicio morgue in Margao for post-mortem. Sanguem PSI S Panalkar is investigating the case.
