PANJIM: Stating that the government is running a PR campaign “Sarkar Tumchya Daari” by making tall claims that the Swayampurna Goa campaign has helped 10,000 Goans, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday slammed the Sawant sarkar for failing in its promises and alleged that Ubor Fator, a village in Quepem constituency, is still without electricity and water.
In a press release, the AAP said, “The residents of Ubor Fator have complained that they have to walk for hours to reach the nearest bus stop. This situation has put their lives at risk. Without power means that they are cut off from the modern world. While other villages suffer due to network connectivity issues, the residents of Ubor Fator cannot even have appliances. Sawant talks of “Har Ghar Nal” and his “fake” free water scheme but, Ubor Fator residents are forced to walk several kilometres in the morning to get access to water.”
“Goenkars are tired of Pramod Sawant’s false promises as he is unable to provide even the most basic amenities to Goans,” claimed AAP Goa joint secretary Raul Pereira
“Goenkars are watching how the Sawant Sarkar’s “jumlas” are being exposed daily. It is shocking that in the 21st century we have villages without electricity and water in Goa. Is this what Pramod Sawant meant by ‘Har Ghar Jal’,” asked AAP Goa convenor Rahul Mhambre.
