UGDP chief advocates in favour of lockdown

MARGAO: United Goans Democratic Party, Dr Jorson Fernandes said that alarming situation in Goa calls for a planned and strategic lockdown.

“Goa is reporting an exponential increase in the number of cases and lockdown would certainly put pressure on the economy of the State. However, economy can get moving in no time once the health related issues are under control,” said Dr Jorson.

“The Chief Minister would do well to remember that while the Economy could be brought back over time if planned well and will recover eventually, human lives that are lost cannot be brought back,” said, remarked Dr Jorson.
