MARGAO: United Goans Democratic Party (UGDP) has geared up to contest the upcoming Assembly elections and has resolved to field party president Dr Jorson Fernandes in Cuncolim Constituency. However, the party is yet to decide upon the alliance.
Speaking to Herald, Fernandes said that the party has already decided to contest in four constituencies, including Cuncolim.
“Yes, UGDP will contest the upcoming assembly elections, and we have planned to field candidates at least in four constituencies. I will be contesting from Cuncolim, which is for sure. While, other three constituencies are yet to be finalised,” he said.
