CANACONA, FEB 25
A 40-year-old Ukraine national was arrested by Canacona police for allegedly injuring three pedestrians while driving a motorcycle at Nagarcem-Canacona on Wednesday evening.
According to Canacona police, the incident occurred when Kryvnko Vidaliy while driving a motorcycle hit and injured three pedestrians one after another who were walking on the roadside at Nagarcem.
Police have provided the names of the three injured pedestrians as Ishwar Lamani, Shobha Lamani and Nila Pujar, all natives of Karnataka.
Ishwar who suffered grievous injuries was rushed to GMC, while the other two were shifted to Hospicio . All the three injured were first provided first aid at Canacona Community Health Centre.
Police immediately arrested the Ukrainian under Sections 279, 337 and 338 of IPC for rash and negligent driving and for causing grievous and simple injuries to the pedestrians. The court has remanded him to 14 days judicial lock up.
