Unchhi Boys clinched victory as the ultimate champions in an electrifying all-5A side futsal tournament held at the Nagao Futsal Arena on Sunday. Baklava United secured the runners-up position in this gripping competition, organised by the Leo Club of Tivim Youth. The action-packed event commenced at 9:30 am and held spectators spellbound until its culmination at 9:00 pm.
The tournament not only showcased team skills but also celebrated individual brilliance. Aniket Agarwadekar from Unchhi Boys displayed exceptional skills as a goalkeeper, earning the prestigious title of Best Goalkeeper. Aniket Naik, also from Unchhi Boys, exhibited remarkable scoring finesse, claiming the coveted title of Top Goal Scorer.
While Joel from Baklava United secured the esteemed Player of the Tournament award for his outstanding contributions to his team’s stellar performance.
With an impressive participation of 20 teams, the tournament provided a robust platform for budding talents to display their fervour and skill in futsal. The Nagao Futsal Arena reverberated with enthusiasm as players showcased unwavering commitment to the sport, treating the audience to a display of skilful manoeuvres and strategic gameplay.
The event was graced by esteemed personalities, including the chief guest Denzil Franco, along with special invitees such as PMJF Lion Erle Brito, the District Governor of District 317B of Lion Club International, and Indian football player Mohammed Ali.
