Underground power cabling work in Arambol irks motorists, businessmen

Locals claim after digging the roads, the contractor has left the soil filling work incomplete, which has resulted in dust pollution

ARAMBOL: Motorists and businessmen are frustrated with the ongoing underground power cabling work in Titha- Arambol which has resulted in dust pollution.

It is pertinent to note that Paliem and Keri villagers will benefit once the underground power cabling is complete.

However, after digging the roads, the contractor has left the soil filling work incomplete. This has angered the locals as well as businessmen, as dust pollution is causing inconvenience to motorists as well as the hotels in the vicinity.

The narrow road which has been dug-up is causing traffic snarls. In addition, poorly parked vehicles aggravate the situation.

Gurudas Nanoskar, a local, has demanded that the contractor remove the soil piles.

“It is the duty of the contractor to remove the soil after completing the work,” said Gurudas Nanoskar, echoing the sentiments of many affected customers.
