MARGAO: Seraulim Sarpanch Domingos Fernandes announced that the work on the rail underpass in the village will commence on November 27 and is expected to be completed by August 22.
Announcing this at the gram sabha, Domingos disclosed that the total cost of the project is around Rs 2.22 crore which will be built with funds from the Railways and Goa government.
The gram sabha also constituted a five-member committee which will get the NOCs from land owners by the side of the road from Betalbatim to Seraulim that needs to be widened as there were too many accidents taking place.
A rail underpass in the village has been a long pending demand of Seraulim villager to solve their difficulties in crossing over to the other side of the railway line.
