PANJIM: The Panjim Police have booked unidentified persons for committed theft at a showroom of an automobile dealership at Campal.
According to the police, Sujay Rao, resident of Mangor Hill, lodged a complaint stating that at Chowgule Industries Pvt Ltd showroom of Maruti dealership at Campal two unknown persons broke open the main door of the showroom and also the glass door of account section, affected entry and committed theft of one small iron safe.
The iron safe contained two check books of 100 leaves each having some blank signed cheques of the company of HDFC Panjim Branch and one loose cheque of true value causing loss to tune of Rs 10,000. An offence has been registered at the Panjim Police Station under Sections 457 and 380 read with 34 of IPC and PSI Amir Taral is conducting investigations.
