PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday said that Union Shipping Minister Mansukh Mandviya has assured look into the coal handling at MPT.
“Conveyed sentiments of people of Goa regarding coal handling. He (Minister) has assured to look into the matter,” Sawant tweeted after meeting Mandviya during his visit to New Delhi.
Sawant also met Union Culture and Tourism Minister Pralhad Patel in New Delhi and discussed promoting cultural tourism in Goa.
“Discussed various matters related to tourism promotion in the State, especially cultural tourism with support from the Center,” he said.
He also invited Patel for the 60th Goa Liberation Day celebrations.
Earlier, in the day the CM held a meeting with Pravir Krishna, MD TRIFED, in New Delhi. They discussed implementation of various tribal welfare schemes in Goa with a special focus on the PM Van Dhan Yojana to promote tribal enterprises.
