Shailesh Mayekar, the President of the United Taximen Union, has stepped forward to address the alarming incident of a physical assault on taxi operator which took place on Monday night at Dabolim Airport. He emphasized the vulnerability of taxi operators who serve as frontline workers in the transportation sector.
In response to the distressing incident, the Police Inspector (PI) has intervened, assuring the union of swift and stringent action against the perpetrator responsible for the assault. This reassurance comes as a glimmer of hope for the affected taxi operators and their families.
