PANJIM: Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai said unity in diversity is the crux of our country, while interacting with the children from ASRO community care home, Tivim and children from Human Touch Foundation, Agasaim.
The interactive meet is part of the three-day ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations being held at Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula, from Friday.
The Governor who was accompanied by his wife Adv Reetha Sreedharan Pillai said Rs one lakh would be provided from Raj Bhavan funds to both these organisations and assured them of his full support.
On Sunday, the Governor will felicitate cancer survivors and patients suffering from chronic diseases and also doctors, staff and para-medical staff of Manipal Hospitals.
