The Board in a ‘most urgent’ circular has mentioned that schools applying for recognition, continuation of recognition and registration/ additional subject(s)/ enrolment fees, and recognition certificate fees for the year 2016-17 should be submitted to Goa Board and the respective zonal offices within the prescribed time frame.
Schools seeking recognition for the first time should fill the forms by May 31, 2016 and submit a copy to Goa Board for payment and another to the zonal office concerned for inspection. “The school shall request the zonal office to send the report directly to this office before June 2016, as the entire process is targeted for completion by end of July 2016,” it states.
Schools applying for continuation of recognition and additional subject(s) for the years 2016-17 are asked to submit ‘Form I’ along with required documents as per the schedule through special messenger who is well versed with recognition procedure. According to the procedure, one copy of the form has to be submitted to Goa Board for payment and other two copies to the zonal office concerned for inspection. “The school shall request the zonal office to send report directly to this office before June 30, 2016, as entire process is targeted for completion by end of July 2016,” the circular mentions.
Schools have also been asked to ensure availability of staff, accommodation, furniture, equipments; telephone etc to conduct Board examinations.
