PANJIM: In a major announcement, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday declared that the State government is set to fill 8,000 to 10,000 vacancies.
Stating that he understands that the youth are facing major problems of unemployment, Sawant said the vacancies will be filled from January onwards. “I assure you that in the next one year a minimum of 8,000 to 10,000 jobs will be advertised and recruitment will happen after January,” he said.
Indirectly targetting the protests across the State, Sawant said, “People are opposing just for sake of it as they are scared BJP will come to power for a third time in a row,” he said.
He said the country is on the path of development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. “We want human development. The infrastructure development is being taken up keeping in view next 25 years and is being done for Goans,” he stated.
