MARGAO: A young woman from Uttar Pradesh, residing in one of the villages of Salcete, has been reported missing from her residence.
According to sources from the Maina-Curtorim police, the girl had arrived in Goa in February and was staying in a village in Salcete. A few days ago, she began working at a factory but disappeared from her workplace one day.
Her father has filed a complaint with the Maina-Curtorim police, and the case is currently under investigation.
Police sources have confirmed that the girl’s father lodged the complaint and that an inquiry is underway. As the girl is of legal age, kidnapping charges do not apply in this case; however, the police are actively investigating her disappearance, including the likelihood that she went to meet her boyfriend.
