MARGAO: Rajuram Santlal, a 29-year-youth, native of Uttar Pradesh died in an accident at Tembi, Raia on Sunday. Maina-Curtorim police said that the youth, residing in Shantinagar Ponda, was driving a scooter when he was hit by a truck.
Head Constable of Maina-Curtorim PS Prassana Prabhugaoker has lodged a complaint against the driver of the truck for rash and negligent driving and causing the death of the youth.
According to Maina Curtorim PSI Chandrakhant Velip, who is investigating the case, said the scooter and the truck were proceeding to Margao from Ponda. Rajuram was taken to the South Goa District hospital but was declared brought dead. The truck driver also hit another scooter, but the rider escaped with minor injuries.
