CANACONA: Canacona witnessed eight incidents of trees getting uprooted and falling on houses, roads and overhead electric lines since Friday morning.
Fire and emergency crew had to attend a total of 8 distress calls of trees getting uprooted in Canacona taluka since early Friday morning.
Sources at fire station said that they had to rush to cut and clear 6 trees which had fallen on houses at Bhagatwada, Palolem, Bhatpal, Gaondongrem, Davabag and Karvem.
However fortunately for the house owners no major losses were reported in the incidents added a source from fire office.
There were also two incidents of trees falling on internal village roads at Padi and Gaondongrem which were swiftly cleared for vehicular traffic by fire personnel.
