PANJIM: Chief Minister Lamikant Parsekar on Saturday asked farmers to take up farming on a large scale and utilize scientific methods for better yield.
He also advised the farmers to test the soil periodically to ascertain the ability of nutrients and micro nutrients for cultivation.
He was speaking at the ‘World Soil Health Day’ organized by Directorate of Agriculture in association of RCPR College of Agriculture.
Parsekar appreciated the Reliance Foundation for providing soil health cards to farmers under the Corporate Social Responsibility.
Staff and students of RCPR College, the members of Directorate of Agriculture, members of Reliance Foundation and the progressive farmers participated in the event.
