PANJIM: President of United Tribal Association Alliance (UTAA) organisation Prakash Velip on Thursday demanded 12 per cent reservation at Goa Medical College for those Goan tribal aspirants who have cracked the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) examination.
While addressing the media persons, he also demanded political reservation and that the project of Tribal Bhavan, construction work of which is underway at Porvorim, be speeded up and completed as fast as possible.
Stating that the recent tribal Census conducted in Goa showed decline of 1.2 k, Velip appealed the people of tribal community to actively participate in the tribal census in order to avoid any discrepancy.
