VASCO: The Dabolim Airport police arrested a 22-year-old woman from Uttarakhand for being in possession of a 32 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) and live cartridges at the Dabolim Airport, on Sunday.
The woman had come to the airport to depart to her native place when the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel nabbed her, while he was scanning her handbag.
When enquired, the woman told the police that she was unaware as to how and who put the pistol and live cartridges in her bag.
She was immediately handed over to the Dabolim Airport police, who arrested her and later released her on bail. The Dabolim Airport police have registered a case against the woman and are conducting investigations.
