Vaccination drive for specifically designated in Salcete from today

Auto-rickshaw drivers, motorcycle pilots, cabbies and seafarers will also be vaccinated

MARGAO: A COVID vaccination drive for specifically designated people will be held at two different locations in Salcete – Navelim and Curtorim from June 3  to 15.

At Navelim the vaccinations will be held at Rosary College and Primary Health Centre and Curtorim at Primary Health Centre. The people have been asked to come with their Aadhar card copies and relevant documents.

From June 3 to 10, the vaccination will be held for Divyanga or differently abled persons, lactating mothers who have completed 45 days since the delivery and parents with a 2-year-old child. The disabled persons have to carry their disability certificate while the lactating mother and parents of the 2-year-old child have to carry the child’s birth certificate.

Persons aged between 18 to 44 years but suffering from co-morbidities like diabetes, heart disease, cancer, renal failure, down’s syndrome or cerebral palsy will be vaccinated from June 7 to 15. Beneficiaries will have to carry a certificate from their doctor stating what they suffer from.

Auto-rickshaw drivers, motorcycle pilots and taxi drivers will also be vaccinated from June 7 to 15 provided they come with a copy of the permit issued by the Transport Department while seafarers will also be vaccinated during the above dates provided they bring a copy of their CDC or seafarer identify document.
