MARGAO: The Margao Urban Health Centre today withheld vaccinating staff of Verna based companies following instructions from the head office. The vaccination was restricted only to the residents of Margao and Fatorda wherein there was not much crowd as it was a Sunday.
Medical Officer at the urban health centre Dr Anju Kharangate said the vaccination of Verna employees is withheld following instructions from the head office and expected the matter to be resolved within the next two days.
Earlier, Shadow Council for Margao had appeal to the government to have additional vaccination centres in Margao as the number of COVID positive cases are increasing in the town.
