BELGAUM: For the convenience of pilgrims attending the feast of Our Lady of Vailankanni, the South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to run two Express Specials between Vasco-da-Gama and Vailankanni in each direction.
According to a press note issued by SWR, Vasco-da-Gama and Vailankanni Train No 07315 will depart from Vasco-da-Gama station at 2 pm on August 28 and September 1 and reach Vailankanni station at 7.15 pm the next day.
En route, the Express Special will arrive/depart Margao at 3-3.02 pm, Hubli at 7.40-7.50 pm, Yesvantpur (Bangalore) at 5.10-5.25 am. In the return direction, the Vailankanni-Vasco-da-Gama Express Train No 07316 will depart from Vailankanni station at 11.45 pm on August 29 and September 2 and arrive at Vasco-da-Gama station 5.30 am the next day.
The Express Special will have 17 coaches, comprising one AC 3-tier coach, six second class sleeper coaches, eight general second class coaches and two second class luggage-cum-brake vans.
