Vajpayee’s ashes immersed in Rivers Mandovi, Zuari

PANJIM: The ashes of former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee were immersed in the Rivers Mandovi and Zuari on Friday.
The two Asthi Kalash that had arrived in Goa on August 22, were taken to 37 constituencies, before the ashes were immersed on Friday evening. The yatra did not visit Benaulim, Nuvem and Madkai constituencies.
Union AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik immersed the ashes in the Mandovi, while in the Zuari it was at the hands of Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho. BJP MLAs, office bearers and others were present for immersion. 
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who was to immerse the ashes, is currently admitted in Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai since Thursday night. 
Former Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Vajpayee died on August 16.
