PANJIM: In the wake of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Directorate of Transport has extended the validity of documents till September 30, 2021.
A press statement issued through Directorate of Information and Broadcasting states that the documents such as fitness, permit of all types, driving licence, registration or any other concerned documents whose extension of validity could not or was not likely be granted due to lockdown and which has expired since February 01, 2020 or would expire by September 30, 2021, be treated to be valid till September 30, 2021.
The enforcement authorities have been advised to treat such documents valid till September 30, 2021 as this move will facilitate citizens in availing transport related services.
The Transport Department has urged all the States and Union Territories to implement this advisory in letter and spirit so that the citizens, transporters and various other organisations may not get harassed and face difficulties.
