VALPOI: The Valpoi Municipal Council chairperson Ramdas Shirodkar submitted his resignation to the Directorate of Municipal Administration.
He said that in his one-and-half-year tenure as a chairperson he has taken many developmental works in the town and thanked the officials from the departments and press for supporting him. He said, “I feel sad as I was unable to initiate few of my dream project which includes building of municipal ground for youth, a state of art garden and renovation of graveyards in Valpoi but the projects were not sanctioned by previous government but now I am confident that these development works will see the daylight as our leader Vishwajit Rane is in ruling Government.”
There are rumours that the Vice Chairperson is also likely to resign to pave way for councillor Sayyad Sarfraz for the post.
