The eminent personalities were felicitated by Opposition Leader Pratapsing Rane in the presence of Valpoi MLA Vishwajit Rane and Valpoi Municipal Council Chairperson Ramdas Shirodkar.
On the occasion, Rane said that every social organisation should involve people from different corners of society and Phoenix association was doing a commendable job by bringing people together.
Applauding the work of Phoenix association in the last 10 years, Vishwajeet said that the association was delivering its best for the society. In appreciation of the good work of Phoenix association, Vishwajeet urged the Valpoi Municipal Council to provide premises in the new administrative building where it could continue its activities. The VMC chairperson and council members responded positively.

The association also announced late Dawood Ali Youth award to young agriculturist Sufiyan Shaikh and VMC supervisor Vishnu Gawas.
