An illegal construction which was built within the jurisdiction of the Valpoi Municipal council by a Valpoi local was demolished by him on Saturday. The direction to demolish the house was given by the High court so Shaikh Dawaood demolished the under-construction house before the Valpoi Municipality did so.
Shaikh Dawood said he was paying house tax and also paid a fine to Valpoi Municipal council but still he got a demolition order from the High Court. Also, he alleged the Valpoi Mamlatdar was not helping locals to regularize their houses.
