Valpoi municipality offices to be kept open on Saturdays

VALPOI: Valpoi municipality has taken a significant decision to keep its offices open for half a day on Saturdays, granting citizens more time to do their work at the municipality. Chairperson PrasannaGawas announced this proactive measure as a Diwali gift to the citizens of the Valpoi municipal area.

Emphasizing the importance of this decision, Gawas urged residents to make maximum use of the extended office hours, stating the offices will be open up to 1 pm on Saturdays.

Initially, the offices were open from Monday to Friday, and were closed for the public on weekends, causing inconvenience. Responding to citizen concerns, the councillors passed a resolution to keep the municipality offices open for half a day on Saturdays.

Chairperson Gawas also expressed his optimism about the positive impact of this change, highlighting its benefits to government employees and citizens who often find it challenging to visit the municipality during weekdays.

Deputy Chairperson Sheikh Faisal encouraged residents to cooperate with the municipality, noting that this change was part of the ongoing efforts to alleviate citizens’ hardships.
