Valpoi police arrest migrant for alleged fake aadhaar use

A migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh has been arrested by Valpoi Police for allegedly using a fake Aadhaar card under a fabricated identity. According to officials, the man had been employed at a scrapyard in Nanus, Valpoi, where he reportedly worked under the false name mentioned on the forged document. Police have booked him under sections 336(2), 337 and 339 of the BNS Act. Investigators said the accused had reached Goa around 20 days ago to sell spare parts of vehicles and later took up work at the scrapyard. Officials added that further verification is underway to determine how the fake Aadhaar card was obtained and whether additional individuals or networks were involved in facilitating the identity.
