MARGAO:The second Vande Bharat (VB) Express was accorded a rousing welcome on its arrival at the Margao Railway Station on Saturday at 4.20 pm with the beating of drums and chanting of slogans like ‘Vande Bharat Express Ki Jai’, ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.
The trainleft Mangaluru Central Railway Station at 12.10 pm after being flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing, from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
All the eight coaches of the Vande Bharat Express to Margao were filled with passengers on the inaugural run. Most of the passengers were issued souvenir tickets. The flag off was delayed because the Prime Minister held a road show in Ayodhya.
