Varca stabbing case: Knife recovered by Colva police

MARGAO: Colva police have successfully retrieved a knife believed to have been used by the alleged perpetrator, Leo Rodrigues, 49, who was apprehended by police for stabbing his friend after a drunken argument in July. Colva PI Therron D’Costa confirmed that the knife was recovered at Rodrigues’ instance. D’Costa noted that both the injured party and the alleged offender have been discharged from hospital after receiving treatment. 

Agnelo Faria, the stabbing victim, underwent surgery at Goa Medical College (GMC) Bambolim, while Leo Rodrigues received care at South Goa District Hospital.  

The police have registered the offence as an attempted murder, under IPC Section 307.
