MARGAO: Seoula Vas has filed an application to the Director of Municipal Administration (DMA) seeking disqualification of the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) chairperson that Lyndon Pereira, accusing him of abusing his power by falsifying the minutes to carry out cutting down of trees.
She alleged that the chairperson manipulated the minute and wrongly inserted the ward numbers without obtaining the approval of the council.
“I have moved an application before the DMA seeking disqualification of Lyndon Pereira from his post as Chairperson of the MMC as he has abused his position, and his continuation as Chairperson is detrimental to the interest of the council,” said Vas.
