VASCO: Vasco Congress Block slammed BJP-led State govt for their failure to release timely salaries to the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) staff despite having Urban Development minister from Port town and warned to take to the roads to protest if salaries are not released within five days.
Nasir Khan, Congress party leader from Vasco, said that 18 days have passed but staff has not got their monthly salary in their account. “It feels very bad that despite having Urban Development minister and the Vasco MLA from the Port town, the Mormugao municipality staff are yet to get their salaries,” said Khan at a press conference held by the leaders on Friday morning.
