VASCO: First day of partial lockdown in Port town was religiously observed by the citizens on Friday. Moderate numbers of people were out to purchase essentials and some out with some work, but all strictly followed the COVID protocol.
Vasco town was quiet with hardly any vehicles on the road. It was surprising that for past two days the people after hearing of lockdown, rushed in market, shops and did panic buying. But on Friday, people strictly followed COVID norms.
When asked some vegetable vendors and shop keepers from Port town about the customers visit on Friday, vendors said that there were very few people who came out to purchase veggies. Shopkeepers also informed that due to lockdown and the scary number of COVID cases people chose to stay back at home safe.
