Residents of Udaywadi in Vasco convened a booth meeting with Vasco MLA Krishna Daji Salkar to raise several local concerns, including the construction of an old temple, sewerage problems, tree-cutting issues, and queries related to the Maje Ghar housing scheme.
During the meeting, Salkar patiently listened to the grievances of the residents and assured them that several of the pending civic issues would be addressed within the next three days through coordination with the concerned departments.

Addressing the delay in the construction of the old temple, the MLA explained that the project had been stalled because the land is privately owned and the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) had not been granted by the owner. He, however, informed residents that discussions with the landowner are progressing positively and expressed optimism that construction work would commence before the onset of the holy month of Shravan.
Residents also raised concerns over sewerage infrastructure and tree-cutting activities in the locality, seeking timely intervention from the authorities.
On the Maje Ghar scheme, Salkar assured eligible beneficiaries that they would receive the necessary guidance and assistance to avail of the housing benefits offered under the government initiative.
The interaction reflected the residents’ efforts to engage directly with their elected representative, while the MLA reiterated his commitment to resolving local issues and ensuring that developmental projects are implemented efficiently for the benefit of the community.
