VASCO: The Vasco police booked 37 taxi drivers for illegally operating taxis from the Dabolim international airport.
The police said during a special drive they found all 37 persons illegally plying tourist taxis and rent-a-cab and parking dangerously in no parking zone along the national highway from Dabolim airport up to Varunapuri road causing inconvenience to the public.
They were booked under relevant sections of 34 (iii) Indian Police Act and under section 119 read with 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Vasco PI Kapil Nayak said that the police will continue the drive against such operators at the Dabolim airport.
