VASCO: The Vasco police on Monday ruled out the motive of theft in the murder of 79-year-old Gayatri Marathe at Pixem Dongri-Kharewado, here on Sunday. The daylight murder of the woman, who was residing alone in the house has shocked the residents as the house is situated along the busiest roads of the of the port town. The police have ruled out the motive of theft in the case because the gold ornaments such as gold chain, bangles and finger ring worn by the woman were not stolen while all her belongings and money were found intact in the house. The police have started investigating in all possible angles in a bid to obtain a clue. The police have managed to obtain footages from nearby CCTV cameras and they are in the process of verifying the visuals
