VASCO: Burglars decamped with jewellery worth Rs 50,000 from a showroom at Vasco in wee hours of Thursday.

Showroom owner Shivsharan Chopra informed that this is the second attempt within a span of 15 days to enter their shop.
He further informed that about 15 days back, some culprits cut the grill and entered the shop, but ran away due to the burglar alarm.
During their second attempt in the wee hours of Thursday, the burglars cut the grills once again and entered the shop and as the burglars entered the shop, the burglar alarm started which activated their mobile phone. Chopra said his son rushed to the shop and heard some noise inside and accordingly alerted him.
“I along with my other son rushed to the shop. My son went to Vasco Police station and came with one policeman, and by the time other policemen could reach the shop, the burglars escaped with the booty,” informed Chopra.
