PANJIM: Another drowning case was reported at the Harvalem waterfall near Sanquelim.
A 21-year-old youth identified as Akhilesh Jagdish Sharma from Vasco, who worked for the Indian Navy had come with the friends on a picnic at the waterfall, on Friday morning.
According to the reports, they all went to enjoy swimming in the deep water, but when they came out of the water, Kumar was missing. They tried hard to search Kumar but in vain. Soon they informed the police and Fire Service about the incident.
After a thorough search, Kumar’s body was fished out by the team of firemen under the guidance of officer Shipad Gawas.
It is pertinent to note that this is the third drowning case reported at the waterfall since April, 2021.
