VASCO: The annual Shree Damodar Bhajani Saptah of Vasco will be celebrated on a grand scale and as per traditional rituals on August 3.
The decision was taken at the annual general meeting of Damodar Bhajani Saptah Samiti at the Damodar temple on Sunday. The general body also elected Krishna Sonurlekar as the president of the Shree Damodar Bhajani Saptah, while former Mormugao chairperson Shekar Khadapkar was elected as the vice-president, Santosh Khorjuvekar as secretary and Vishnu Garudi as the treasurer.
The annual general body chaired by industrialist Prashant Joshi decided to celebrate the Saptah festival by adhering to the COVID-19 protocols and all preventive measures. Joshi said that this year the people will be allowed to visit the temple during the Saptah festival, even small groups at a time. For the last two years, the Saptah was celebrated on a subdued note due to pandemic.
