Velingkar demands white paper on smart city projects

PORVORIM: The Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) candidate for the Panjim by-poll, Subhash Velingkar, has demanded a white paper on the smart city projects while addressing the party workers at a melava at Porvorim on Wednesday.
On the recent Taleigao Panchayat elections and CCP, he alleged that it was a setting between the BJP and Babush to fool the people .
“These politicians have been jumping from one party to another and fooling the people of Goa. They have betrayed the trust of the common man. BJP and Congress are two sides of the same coin. I do not treat them as two different parties. Recently, BJP did not field a candidate of their own for the post of the mayor in Panjim. BJP has always favoured Babush from the start. To end this political drama, GSM is contesting the Panjim by-poll,” Velingkar said.
He said that he would expose corruption in smart city projects and demanded a statement of expenditure of these projects. He stated that in the name of development of smart city a lot of money is being spend.
Velingkar also said that he was confident of winning.
