Velsao Locals passionately deliberated on several pressing issues in the Sunday Gramsabha that demand immediate attention for the holistic development of the region. The Gramsabha, attended by proactive residents, addressed a spectrum of concerns, with notable inputs from social worker Roquezinho D’Souza.
One of the primary issues discussed was the urgent need for the development of internal roads within the locality. Residents expressed their collective desire for improved road infrastructure, emphasizing its pivotal role in enhancing connectivity and accessibility for the entire community. Social worker Roquezinho D’Souza suggested exploring avenues to acquire land wherever feasible to expedite the road development process.
The Gramsabha participants also engaged in discussions about the alleged absence of the secretary during Village Development Committee (VDC) meetings. This matter raised concerns among attendees, and efforts were made to address the issue to ensure the smooth functioning of local governance.
Market complex SOPO collections and effective garbage management were additional topics that drew attention during the meeting. Community members actively exchanged ideas and proposed practical solutions to streamline waste disposal systems and manage SOPO collections more efficiently.
