Velsao stares at intense flooding this monsoon as RVNL contractor has blocked the water channels. Even a pond which overflows into the sea has been blocked since the track crosses the path of the channel. Though RVNL is constructing a way for the water to go to the sea, presently the flow of the pond has been blocked due to mud embankments.
The RVNL contractor denied that any water channel was blocked and said that railway rules allow them to undertake any work and that their work cannot be stopped by any agency.
