VALPOI: Velus village on the outskirts of Valpoi town was blacked out the entire Friday and the “repeated phone calls” to electricity department proved futile.
The Velus villagers complain that they have been facing low voltage problem since last many years.
“We complained to the Electricity Department about the low voltage problem many times, but the officials have not taken any action,” a villager said adding that the “Valpoi MLA openly says that he doesn’t care about Velus villagers and their problems.”
“I have phoned the Electricity Department many times to complain about the low voltage, but the officials are not attending the phone call,” a villager Madu Gaonkar said.
