“Our taps have been running dry since the past one month and no action has been taken. Now we will hold a ‘ghagar morcha’ at the water supply department,” ex-councillor Durgabai Veluskar said.
“For the past one month, we are using river water for our daily use, which is polluted and unhygienic. There is no water in our taps for the past one month and yet water supply officials are not taking any action, an elderly woman from the villager,” Satyawati Gaonkar said.
“Our village water pipeline is very old and has many leakages, besides being broken at many places,” another villager Madu Gaonkar said.
