VALPOI: Velus residents, especially those from ward one in Valpoi on Thursday complained that they have been left without power supply for the past two days and accused the Electricity Department of failing to carry out pre-monsoon work in the ward.
The locals claimed that they are not receiving continuous power supply.
Despite several complaints, the residents claimed that the Electricity Department officials including the Assistant Engineer are not attending to their phone calls.
Irked with the lethargic attitude of the department officials, the residents contacted the ward councillor. But the elected representative too refused to attend to their calls.
The ward residents marched to the Electricity Department with their complaint and were informed by the department officials that the transformer is being repaired. The residents claimed that till date the officials have failed to repair the transformer.
