Amidst the heavy rainfall, the
counting is in full swing with the latest updates being in favor of both the
leading parties. BJP North Goa candidate Ramakant Khalap is leading in North
Goa with a 4572 margin whereas Congress candidate for South Goa Capt. Viriato
Fernandes is leading with a 9235 margin. All the 20 constituencies of South Goa
Parliamentary seats are taken into consideration.

Capt Viritao Fernandes: 26,765
Pallavi Dempo: 17,530
Rupert Perreira: 1458
“We’ll
see what happens. I’m fully confident about my victory. Let the counting get
over.” Said Ramakant Khalap, who arrived at Government Polytechnic College in
Panjim where the counting is taking place.
